IDF: 9 Iranian nuclear scientists eliminated in opening strike of Operation 'Like a Lion'

The IDF spokesperson announced that in the Israeli Air Force strikes at the beginning of Operation 'Like a Lion,' nine senior scientists and experts who were advancing the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons program were eliminated. "The strike was made possible thanks to precise intelligence gathered by the Intelligence Division," the military stated. Among the senior scientists in the Iranian nuclear project who were eliminated: Fereydoon Abbasi, nuclear engineering expert; Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi, physics expert; Akbar Motallebi Zadeh, chemical engineering expert; Saeed Borji, materials engineering expert; Amir Hasan Fakahi, physics expert; Abdul Hamid Minuchehr, reactor physics expert; Mansour Asgari, physics expert; Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari Dariani, nuclear engineering expert; and Ali Bakhai Khatrimi, mechanics expert. "Their elimination constitutes a significant blow to the Iranian regime's ability to obtain weapons of mass destruction," the statement said.
