Bereaved families erupted during a hearing at the Supreme Court on petitions seeking to establish a state commission of inquiry. Itzik Pitusi, father of Yishai Pitusi who fell on October 7, said: "Yishai came to rescue Roni Ashel in Nahal Oz. I demand from you - my son called me four months saying there are terrorists on the fence, and under the protection of the Supreme Court the terrorists reached the fence, you tied our sons' hands. This court has a part in October 7." Tamar Teshuva, sister of Barak David who was murdered at Nova, said: "We all need to live, to return to life. We are fighting for a commission that will bring justice and not a whitewash. With all due respect, we have no trust in this system." Deputy Supreme Court President Noam Solberg said that "the pain is piercing," and the hearing continued.
