Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the withdrawal of number eight on the 'Amcha Yisrael' list, Davidi Ben Zion, and asked to "commend him on his important decision, after he understood that Winter's run endangers the right-wing bloc." Netanyahu added: "I call on the rest of the list members to act similarly to ensure the right's victory." Religious Zionism chairman Bezalel Smotrich, who also pressured Ben Zion and finds himself in a discouraging position in the polls, responded and claimed it is "a brave and difficult step of national responsibility. I call on Ofer Winter to take the necessary step and announce his withdrawal."
