An Israeli official stated that once the transfer of captured soldier Edan Alexander begins, the IDF will halt attacks in the area where he is expected to be handed over to Israel, to ensure his safe passage. Additionally, intelligence gathering operations throughout Gaza will be suspended until Alexander crosses into Israeli territory.
