The film "The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue" about October 7 premiered last Wednesday and won the People's Choice Award for documentary work. This was revealed today at the closing ceremony of TIFF, where winners in various categories are announced based on audience votes, as the festival has no official competition with judges. "The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue," directed by Barry Avrich, is a Canadian production filmed entirely in Israel that follows retired Major General Noam Tibon as he reconstructs his improvised operation on October 7 to rescue his son Amir, his partner and their two young daughters from the besieged Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
