The National Insurance Institute will transfer study grants to families for more than 278,000 children, totaling approximately 328 million shekels. This was announced by the authority, which added that the goal is to help parents purchase equipment, clothing and textbooks for their children ahead of the new school year. The grant is provided to families with four or more children who also receive one of the following benefits: alimony, income support, survivors' benefits, disability or senior citizen benefits, as well as to single parents: separated, widowed, divorced or unmarried.
