Police to High Court: After approving protests, public must be allowed to visit Temple Mount and Western Wall

|
The police clarified during a High Court hearing on a petition demanding permission for Western Wall prayers that in their view, "the High Court's decision (regarding approval of protests) is problematic and incorrect." Police called on the public "to act responsibly, not to endanger security forces and to refrain from attending protests, the Western Wall or the Temple Mount." However, they emphasized: "From the moment the High Court approved the protests at Habima, we will not be able to discriminate against a vast public - and the High Court must also allow them the option to visit both the Temple Mount and the Western Wall."
