Palestinians reported overnight that "special forces" of the IDF infiltrated Tamon village in the Tubas area of Samaria, eliminated senior Islamic Jihad official Raik Basharat and "took his body." Basharat was one of the prominent leaders of Islamic Jihad in the West Bank, with an extensive history of political and terrorist activities, including serving nine years in Israeli prison and participating in a hunger strike. Additionally, it was reported that forces arrested wanted suspect Murad Abu Hasib after he was wounded by gunfire.
