Ousmane Dembele delivered a tremendous performance with a hat trick (9th, 20th and 32nd minutes), Desire Doue (90+4) scored an additional goal deep in stoppage time. Jorgen Aursnes only reduced the deficit (21st) for the Scandinavians, who fielded a second-string lineup. Mike Maignan saved a penalty by Jorgen Strand Larsen in the 50th minute. In the other match in Group 9, Senegal defeated Iraq 5-0 and finished third.
