Yale racial discrimination probe expands to all undergraduate programs

|
The U.S. Department of Justice investigation into Yale University over suspected discrimination has expanded to all undergraduate degree programs and the law school. This comes after a year-long investigation that previously pointed to suspected discrimination in admissions to the university's medical school, in violation of Supreme Court rulings. Admissions data indicate that in some cases, Black and Hispanic applicants were 29 times more likely to receive an interview invitation than an Asian applicant with similar academic achievements. The academic institution is now pursuing settlement negotiations with the Trump administration to avoid legal proceedings.
