After approximately two months during which the 'Basemta' cafe became a scene of protests by ultra-Orthodox demonstrators every Saturday, the establishment's management announced it will close on Saturdays starting this coming weekend. 'The decision was made after prolonged deliberation and with a heavy heart, out of a desire to prevent and reduce tensions and restore calm to the cafe,' the management stated.
