U.S. President Donald Trump responded to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's statement that if he could, he would arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he arrives in the U.S. in September, and wrote in a post on TruthSocial that "Netanyahu will not be arrested in any way, shape or form while in the United States. He is fighting against Iran, which recently killed 52,000 innocent protesters, and for 47 years has killed American soldiers and others. The only people who should be arrested are those who led Iran into this circle of death and destruction."
