What will bring them to a deal is military pressure." The official noted that Israel is moving toward a decisive victory, as "it cannot allow a situation where Hamas remains in Gaza." According to him, Hamas has managed to produce hundreds more short-range rockets and dozens aimed at central Israel. The official also detailed the stages of defeating Hamas: destroying the military wing, damaging governance capabilities, conquering and holding territory, and controlling humanitarian aid while separating it from Hamas.
