Oren Smadja resigns as Israel's Judo national team coach

|
Israel's national judo team coach Oren Smadja announced his resignation from his position citing disrespectful treatment from federation officials. In a post he published, Smadja wrote: "I am worried about the future of Israeli judo. Therefore, I felt I had no choice but to sacrifice myself for the future of the sport. Perhaps my resignation will make someone understand that if I'm throwing in the towel, it's time for a thorough investigation of what's happening behind the scenes."
