Hikmat al-Hajri, a senior Druze figure in Syria, called on international organizations to provide financial assistance for the rehabilitation of villages affected by the massacre in As-Suwayda, and declared that "we are waiting for the terrorists to withdraw from our occupied villages to document the violations, despite the government's (of Ahmad al-Shara) attempts to cover up its crimes, including burning, killing, destruction and use of prohibited materials. We call for action to open international crossings to lift the siege on As-Suwayda." Al-Hajri reiterated the Syrian Druze demand for self-determination and thanked U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
