Two prominent universities in different European countries announced the termination of their research collaborations with Israeli universities 'due to the war in Gaza.' The University of Geneva announced the end of research collaborations with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University. The agreement with Tel Aviv University will expire in 2026 and will not be renewed. Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) also announced an immediate freeze on collaborations with Bar-Ilan University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Haifa. Under the decision, existing student exchange programs with these institutions will be suspended, and no new research collaborations will be initiated with them.
