The IDF spokesperson has cleared for publication that a battalion commander from the Desert Reconnaissance Battalion (585), and a tracker in reserves from the Southern Brigade, Gaza Division, were seriously wounded earlier after being hit by an explosive device in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. The officer and tracker were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital and their families have been notified. In the incident where the officer and tracker were wounded, a combat officer was moderately wounded and another combat officer was lightly wounded.
