Ahuvya Sandak case: Community service for two defendants who threw stones before chase

|
The Jerusalem District Court this week sentenced two defendants in the case of stone-throwing at a vehicle in December 2020 near the settlement of Kochav Hashachar, which led to a chase that ended in Ahuvya Sandak's death, thus completing the sentencing of all defendants in the case. The defendants were sentenced to community service and suspended prison terms. Attorney Adi Kedar from the Honenu organization stated: 'The indictment should not have been filed and was entirely an attempt to protect the real culprits in the incident - the Israel Police and the State Prosecutor's Office, who desperately defended the officers who caused Ahuvya's death.'
