Liberman's bill to apply sovereignty over Maale Adumim passes preliminary reading

The bill proposed by Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman to apply sovereignty over Maale Adumim passed a preliminary reading in the Knesset plenum. 32 Knesset members supported the proposal, while nine opposed it. According to the bill, Israeli law, jurisdiction and administration would apply to the area of Maale Adumim. The bill will be forwarded to the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for discussion.
