Gadi Eisenkot spoke at the defense tech conference held by Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth in partnership with the Chamber of Engineers, Architects and Academics in Technological Professions in Israel. On the possibility of a confrontation with Iran, Eisenkot said that 'the preference is for American action, the Americans have regional and global interests, and I am very pleased with their decision to concentrate force and set sharp and clear objectives. The State of Israel has demonstrated remarkable capability, both in defense and in offense. But six to seven months later, we are not facing the prospect of another round.' He continued: 'We need to support, ensure and prepare to carry out operations ourselves both for defense and for offense. This must end with a significant achievement, after which there is no further round.'
