Police arrested a Tel Aviv resident (63) after a kangaroo stolen in the early morning hours from a zoo in the Beit She'an Valley was found in his apartment in the city's Tzahala neighborhood, along with several other exotic animals. Police opened an investigation this morning after receiving a report of two suspects who broke into the zoo overnight and stole a red-necked wallaby joey. Professionals were called to the apartment to examine the kangaroo's health condition, and it is expected to be returned to the zoo. The suspect is expected to be questioned tonight, and based on the investigation findings, a decision will be made whether to request the court to extend his detention.
