Netanyahu: Fierce Fighting Continues, Next Phase to be Discussed - No Compromise on Victory

|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an 'interview' with his office staff regarding the fighting in Gaza. When the interviewer noted that 'many people say nothing is happening, nothing is being done,' Netanyahu responded: 'That's incorrect. There is fighting, even fierce fighting, and sadly we just lost two more soldiers. I'm convening the cabinet today to discuss the next phase, based on the IDF Chief of Staff's proposal. We're focusing on two missions: first, returning our hostages; second, defeating Hamas.' Responding to criticism over his statement about 'ultimate victory over the enemy' being the top priority, Netanyahu said: 'These are our objectives - freeing the hostages, but we are not giving up on achieving decisive victory.'
