Trump: Extension of Iran Ceasefire 'Could Happen as Early as Next Week'

|
U.S. President Donald Trump told ABC News that he believes an agreement to extend the ceasefire with Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz "could happen as early as next week." Trump told the network's correspondent in a phone call that "it looks good. There was a small glitch today, but I solved it very quickly as you probably noticed. I spoke with Hezbollah and told them not to shoot, and then I spoke with Bibi and told him not to shoot, and both of them stopped shooting at each other." Trump also said, according to ABC, that a peace deal with Iran "could be even better than a military victory": "This is not a simple matter. You're talking about a very large country with enormous hostility. It's not easy for them and not for us either, but we're getting what we need."
