A team of forensic scientists from the private sector examined the death data and the scene where Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was found, and concluded that the cause of his death was murder and not suicide. Independent investigator Michelle Wilkins, who worked with the team, told the British Daily Mail, citing Brian Burnett, an expert who previously worked on cases involving overdoses followed by gunshot wounds. Wilkins said: "Burnett determined - this is murder. We need to do something about it." The Nirvana frontman was found lifeless in his Seattle home in 1994. At the time it was determined that Cobain committed suicide.
