Security establishment expresses pessimism about Doha strike results

Ronen Bergman|
Sources in the security establishment and intelligence community expressed doubt overnight regarding the achievement of objectives defined for the strike against Hamas leaders in Doha. Two of them said that based on information gathered so far, they are pessimistic about lethal hits on most targets, and possibly all of them. However, they emphasized that this is not a final result, and that data collection for the Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) has not yet been completed. One source said that regardless of the outcome, one goal—to instill fear in Hamas leaders and show them there is no place where they can successfully hide—was achieved in any case.
