The Supreme Court issued an interim order freezing the 'Police Investigations Law.' Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg dissented. The order stated: 'After considering both the position of the petitioners and the Attorney General, who support issuing an interim order due to the immediate implications for the Police Internal Investigations Department and due to the election period, and the position of the Knesset and the Justice Minister, who oppose it while emphasizing the status of Knesset legislation – an interim order is hereby issued, suspending at this stage the implementation of the sections added as part of the legislative amendment that is the subject of the petitions.'
