Eight Knesset lawmakers supported the proposal while seven opposed it. Members of the ultra-Orthodox parties did not participate in the vote. Last week, the vote on approving the orders was postponed after the coalition lacked a majority following the absence of two Likud representatives, Yuli Edelstein and Michel Buskila.
