Thousands of people came to pay their last respects to Netanya Mayor Miriam Feirberg-Ikar. The eulogy ceremony was held at the city's football stadium, which was named after her during her lifetime. The parents of fallen soldier Itai Chen, city residents Hagit and Rubi Chen, attended the event, as did Tel Aviv and Haifa mayors Ron Huldai and Yona Yahav. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also expected to arrive. Earlier, the funeral procession passed near the city hall building, where flags were lowered to half-mast. Municipality CEO Yoram Cohen eulogized: "An entire city bids you farewell today. Netanya's melody cannot be stopped."
