President Isaac Herzog met with a delegation of imams and Muslim leaders from communities in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Britain. The delegation included prominent figures from the Muslim world who came to Israel to promote a message of peace, coexistence and partnership between Muslims and Jews, and between Israel and the Muslim world. During the meeting, the president said: "I believe that the historic progress in our region is the result of dialogue – between Muslims and Jews and between Jews and Muslims. Against the extremist forces trying to stop this progress of living together, there are other forces that are growing stronger every day, advancing this vision."
