|
Police reported that hundreds of extremist ultra-Orthodox individuals threw stones and objects at officers during a violent riot in Beit Shemesh. The protesters set fire to trash cans, damaged infrastructure and pushed concrete barriers onto the road. Two young men were injured after a concrete barrier fell on their legs after they apparently pushed it. Police sought to clarify that the incident occurred in a location where no officers were present, and that there is no connection between the officers' activity in dispersing the rioters and the injury of the young men. In addition, two people were injured apparently during the dispersal of the riot.
