The Foreign Ministry responded to the Russian report about the interrogation of approximately 40 Israelis in Moscow, stating that "immediately upon learning of the incident, under the direction of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, the Foreign Ministry acted both with the Foreign Ministry in Moscow and with the Russian Embassy in Israel. Following this intervention, the incident was resolved and the Israelis' entry was approved. It was made clear to the Russians that this conduct is completely unacceptable, and Israel views the incident with great severity."
