Vance: 'We made significant progress, hope international force will lead Hamas disarmament'

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said that "during my visit, significant progress was made toward implementing phase two. It's very early, but I believe we've made substantial progress in understanding what the composition of the stabilization force will be, what's needed for it to be effective and how Central Command will work with forces on the ground." According to him, "The administration's hope is that the international force will take the lead in disarming Hamas. This will take time and depends greatly on the composition of the force. I think we're in a good place. With all the problems, it can be said with confidence that Israel and Hamas are respecting the ceasefire."
