Emergency Knesset discussion on suspicious envelopes: 'A madman once shot a prime minister'

Sivan Hilai|
The National Security Committee, headed by MK Zvika Fogel (Jewish Power), is holding an emergency discussion titled 'Threats against public officials - Immediate danger to democracy and rule of law,' following letters containing suspicious materials recently received by ministers and Knesset members. Fogel emphasized the importance of examining the issue at the start of the discussion, stating 'there are no leads,' and said 'there have been madmen who launched fireworks above the Prime Minister's residence - and there was one madman who shot a prime minister.' However, he noted 'I'm not pointing an accusing finger, nobody knows who's doing this.'
