New York City Mayor Zahran Mamdani wrote on X that he is "outraged" after a Nazi swastika flag was raised in Washington Square Park on a New York University building. Mamdani wrote that "this is an anti-Semitic act designed to spread fear among Jews in New York and intimidate them. It has no place in our city. The administration is committed to fighting anti-Semitism in all its forms. The Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident."
