Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the Israeli strike that led to the deaths of two officers and a soldier from the Lebanese army, stating it was "a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and international laws and norms. Lebanon will not compromise in defending its land and people, and these attacks will not deter it from preserving its national rights." The president also called on the international community "to take responsibility" and added that the strike comes against the backdrop of ongoing escalation "threatening stability and security in the south, despite Lebanon's efforts in negotiations in Washington."
