Rabid cat detected in Shlomi in Western Galilee, exposed person referred for treatment

A stray cat infected with rabies was detected in the local council of Shlomi in the Western Galilee. The cat is black and white, and a person who was exposed to the cat was referred for preventive rabies treatment. The Ministry of Health has requested that anyone who came into contact, or whose pets came into contact, with the animal in the incident area from July 5 until yesterday, urgently contact the Acre Health Bureau at 04-9955138, or the Health Bureau nearest to their residence to consider receiving preventive treatment.
