The Consumer Price Index for October rose by 0.5%, in line with forecasts. Since last year's October index also rose by 0.5%, the annual inflation rate (calculated over the last 12 months) remained unchanged at 2.5%. Housing prices index decreased by 0.3%. Compared to transactions made during the same period last year (August-September 2024), the increase in housing prices has significantly moderated and now stands at 0.5%. Following these figures, the likelihood of an interest rate cut by the Bank of Israel has increased – if this happens, it would be the first such reduction in about two years.
