Swastikas and anti-Israel inscriptions were sprayed on five buses used to transport Jewish students in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The buses, which are used to transport children to yeshivas in the area, were spray-painted with inscriptions including 'Fuck Israel,' 'Free Palestine' and 'America First.' Police have opened an investigation into the incident and are attempting to locate those responsible. City Council member Lincoln Restler condemned the act: 'Antisemitic hate graffiti on student buses in our community is abhorrent.' Williamsburg is home to a large community of Satmar Hasidim, who actually oppose Zionism.
