Egypt and Iraq welcomed the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. Additionally, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella organization of pro-Iranian militias, announced the suspension of its activities in the region for two weeks. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement welcoming the ceasefire: "The American step is considered a significant and positive development toward achieving the desired calm, halting the escalation and maintaining security." The statement further noted that "the suspension of military operations represents an opportunity that should be seized to pave the way for negotiations and constructive dialogue."
