The prosecution filed an indictment with the Traffic Court against driver Ami Cohen (76) for negligent homicide of pedestrian Mahin Mizrachi (78) in an accident that occurred eight months ago in Tel Aviv. According to the indictment, Cohen drove a commercial vehicle without a valid driver's license, and when passing through an intersection in the city, he made a U-turn without taking safety precautions. He then hit Mizrachi who was crossing the road on a green light. After the impact, Cohen continued driving and ran over the deceased under his vehicle's wheels, only stopping afterward. Mizrachi's death was pronounced several hours later at the hospital.
