The U.S. House of Representatives approved the 'Anti-BDS' bill by a vote of 237 in favor to 169 against, which would deny public aid to higher education institutions participating in economic or academic boycotts against Israel. The bill passed after the House Education Committee approved it in June, and now moves forward to the legislative process in the U.S. Senate. Education Committee Chairwoman, Republican Virginia Foxx, said that 'the bipartisan legislation makes clear that tangible campaigns of antisemitism in the form of boycotts have no place in any aspect of civil society.'
