The prosecutor's office has filed an indictment against Silwan resident Abd Odeh for the murder of East Jerusalem resident Hassin Dar Issa. Issawiya resident Islam Alqaram was charged in parallel with obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact. According to the prosecution, the motive for the murder was a dispute that erupted due to the cancellation of Issa's sister's engagement to another individual involved, Mustafa Abu Qalbin. Issa was shot to death during a meeting with Abu Qalbin, Odeh and Alqaram, who attacked him and his brother with a knife and a gun. Odeh is charged with premeditated murder, aggravated assault with intent and carrying and transporting weapons.
