Ofer Cassif suspended from Knesset for two months with two weeks' salary withheld; Almog Cohen reprimanded

|
The Knesset Ethics Committee has suspended MK Ofer Cassif from Knesset committee sessions and plenum meetings for two months, and withheld his salary for a period of two weeks, following 12 complaints filed against him. Most complaints concern Cassif's statements against IDF soldiers. The committee also threatened sanctions against Knesset members who allow protesters who disrupt order in the Knesset building to enter, and additionally reprimanded Deputy Minister Almog Cohen for calling a user on X network a "haughty, hypocritical and condescending white woman."
