|
The prosecution submitted an indictment to the Haifa District Court against Mohammed Raid Mahamid, a 20-year-old resident of Umm al-Fahm, for security offenses including contact with a foreign agent, conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism and weapons violations. According to the indictment, Mahamid planned with Jenin Battalion operatives to attack Israeli security forces during the demolition of terrorists' homes in the village of Romana, who carried out the terror attack in Elad on Independence Day in 2022. He received 25 pipe bombs and ammunition from terror operative Mohammed Zakaria Zubeidi, which he transferred to battalion operatives for the attack.
