So far, only minor damage to property has been caused by missile fire across the country, but the Tax Authority is already deploying property tax assessors to reach the affected areas. The authority announced Saturday afternoon that the property tax compensation fund centers nationwide are open and ready to provide swift assistance to those whose homes and property were damaged.
Claims can be submitted on the Tax Authority website taxes.gov.il and through the telephone hotline *4954.
In the event of severe damage to a building, representatives of the local authority will arrive and assist in evacuation to a primary assistance center (MASAR). Subsequently, if an authorized official on behalf of the local authority determines that the home is uninhabitable, residents will be evacuated from the MASAR to a hotel until the damage is repaired or until a long-term alternative solution is found.
