The layoffs at global tech giant Dell are reaching Israel as well. Ynet has learned that several dozen employees in the company's development operations in Israel have received termination notices. The company confirmed the move but declined to provide specific numbers. Unlike other tech giants that have recently conducted massive and publicized waves of layoffs, Dell in Israel has not carried out a significant across-the-board layoff wave until now. Dell employs approximately 1,000 employees in Israel, a significant portion of whom came from the acquisition of EMC and additional acquisitions the company made in the country over the years. The employees are divided among four main centers: Haifa, Beersheba and Kibbutz Galil Yam. In Herzliya, the sales, service and business headquarters are located.
