Oman: We signed agreements - we will not charge fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz

|
Oman's Transport Minister Said al-Maawali said the country will not charge fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz. "Oman's position is clear regarding the strait - it has signed all relevant international maritime transport agreements, and fees cannot be imposed under these agreements." According to him, many countries have not signed these agreements, including Iran, thus creating a "legal vacuum." It was reported that the Foreign Ministry is currently in discussions on the matter and they "hope for a positive outcome."
