A 3-year-old toddler died at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv after suffering from septic shock and clinical suspicion of meningococcemia, a lethal type of blood poisoning caused by aggressive bacteria. He arrived at the Dana-Dwek Children's Hospital at Ichilov, where his death was pronounced after resuscitation attempts. The hospital stated that "it is important to note that there is a vaccine against meningococcus B, which is recommended by the Israeli Pediatric Association. We call on the public to vaccinate infants and toddlers and save lives."
