Gaza desalination plants shut down in protest against Hamas: 'Arrested worker without explanation'

|
A Gaza company operating water desalination facilities in the Strip halted operations in protest of Hamas arresting one of its employees. According to the report, the company is responsible for supplying water to about half of Gaza's area. A member of the company's board told Reuters, "I know this is a catastrophic move, but protecting our workers is a sacred matter." He added that Hamas did not provide an explanation regarding the reason for the worker's arrest.
