Under pressure from ultra-Orthodox factions on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the military draft exemption law, it was decided that Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Yuli Edelstein will present the draft today to the representative of the ultra-Orthodox, former Shas minister Ariel Atias. This follows their demand to reach a solution before the Prime Minister's flight to Washington. Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Yair Lapid stated, "If Edelstein, under Netanyahu's pressure, presents the law to the ultra-Orthodox before presenting it to soldiers and reservists, it summarizes the entire story of the draft-dodging law."
